bat those lashes!

Hi all,

I’m sure you agree that application of false eyelashes are pretty common these days! (big fan of it myself.. teehee! ) You can get them in different colours..patterns… really crazy patterns ..etc

If you take a good look, models in beauty ads have the most gorgeous and perfect lashes, EVEN the lashes on their bottom lids look good! Ever wondered “How did they do it?” ?

Today I’ll share some tips on achieving a natural yet fuller looking lashes for your bottom lids.

For this look, you can use individual eyelashes. Use a tweezer to apply the lashes because it’s rather difficult using your fingers. Apply the glu and gently place the lashes beneath your original lashline to create bigger eyes. To have a natural look, lashes should start long from the outer corner of your bottom lids and shorter as you apply it towards the inner corner of your eyes.

Reminder* Please, please becareful not to poke your eyes with tweezer!

There is another method which I personally find more easier, by using false eyelashes that you normally apply on your top lids. Use a scissocrs and cut it into smaller widths. Apply glu on lashes and place it beneath the lashline with a tweezer. You will find that you have a better grip when applying these lashes compared to teenie weenie individual eyelashes. Less time consuming too!

And lastly, an attempt of my own =) Enjoy!

*bright* eyes

Hi yall,

I’ll be sharing tips on how to freshen & brighten up those gorgeous eyes. By highlighting the inner corner of your eyes with white eyeshadow it not only brightens up your eyes, but it creates an illusion of BIGGER eyes.

Did you know that by highlighting the inner corner of your eyes, narrow set eyes will appear wider? This technique is not just a makeup trend but it is also a corrective technique frequently used by makeup artist! You can also highlight the brow bone area to make your eyes appear bigger.

Here are some celebs that uses this makeup technique too!  (image source: Harpers Bazaar)

And here is an attempt of my own!

Steps:

Firstly highlight your brow bone area with a shiny white colour. Next apply a peach color tone from your lash line to the area beneath the brow bone.  Next, apply a brownish pink from the lash line to the area slightly above your crease. Then highlight the inner corner of your eyes with a little touch of white. Line your bottom inner rims with a light brown colour.

*Tip -Becareful not to apply too much white  and blend well to avoid  looking patchy!

Hi all!

For those who colours, today I have a lil something for you! I’ll be putting up pics of candy colours inspired makeup =)

I have done a few sample of candy coloured makeup and will be providing simple steps for the green & purple makeup.  Other colours used for the other makeups are orange & purple and blue & pink.

Steps:

Blend the green on 3/4 of your lids starting from the inner corner of your eyes. Then blend the purple on the outer corner of your eyes up till the browbone area. Next apply a dash of black tone on the outer corner of your eyes for more projection. Line the inner rim of your bottom lids with black eyeliner. Lastly, apply a coat of mascara onto your lashes. day to evening in a snap!

Hi all!

Time gets  shorter by the day..jam packed schedules.. even putting on makeup in the morning can be a hassle =(

But don’t fret!

Today I’ll be sharing super easy tips on how to do a simple day makeup..and changing it into an evening makeup in less than 2 mins!

The day look…

Steps:

For this look I have only applied under eye concealer  and pressed powder.

As for the eyeshadow, I used a light pink colour on the eye and a light brown tone on the outer corner of the eyes.

First apply the light shade of pink from the lash line till the area beneath the brow bone. Then apply the light brown tone on the outer corner of your eyes.noon3

You can also apply the light brown tone on the inner rim of your bottom lid. A light dash of pink for the blusher. And for the lip, a light pink lip gloss. For day makeup, the best look is to achieve a natural look. Earthtones make great eyeshadows for day makeup.

Now the fun part is turning your day look into evening! Nope, you don’t have to re-apply your eyeshadow. Just simply add on!

The evening look…

Steps:

For the evening look, I applied a dark brown on the inner rim of  my bottom lid and used a red lipstick, topped with lip gloss.

THAT’S IT!

These are simple yet easy steps. Now you can leave your house without bringing all your makeup even if you’ll be out all day! Lip colours and blushers can instantly create a different look. For an evening look, you can apply darker, bolder colours!

Firstly, the colours used for this makeup  is a shiny grey and silver tone. I will be using a little matte black for the eye makeup so that it wont appear flat.

Step 1:

Blend the grey tone from the lash line to the crease. Then blend the silver from the crease to the area beaneath the browbone

Step 2:

For the eyeliner, start from the middle of  the lids. Start with the inner rim of your bottom lid first, followed by the top. When drawing the bottom lid, drag your brush upwards once you’ve reached the corner of your eye.

a beautiful surprise!

Hi yall!

As mentioned earlier on my blog, I will be starting a new segment on my blog =)

This segment is specially created to show how makeup can really make a difference for each and everyone of us. My new segment is called “Make Me Over!”  and in this segment I will put up photos of a person before and after makeup application.

However, please understand that makeup is just a tool we use to enhance our feautures that we’re already blessed with. Real beauty comes from within!

My model for this time round is a beautiful, and close person to me =) My dearest mother. She has been a real sport, volunteering to do this! We hope you enjoy this =)

smoke those eyes!

Hi all,

Today I’ll be doing an easy step by step guide to sultry smokey eyes!

Shien, hope this helps =)

I’ll be doing smokey eyes in brown tones.

*Tip – For this look, I advise you to use matte colours, as shiny colours make our eyes appear flat. Matte colours create an illusion of depth and projection.

Step 1:

Use a light brown tone to blend from the bottom of the lid, right up till the brow bone.

step1

Step 2:

Next, use a darker brown tone and blend it from the lash line to the area slightly below the brown bone.

*Tip –  Don’t forget to blend the light and dark brown to avoid harsh lines.

step2

Step 3:

Now apply a black tone from the lash line to the area slightly above the crease of your eyes.

*Tip – To increase the intensity of the black tone, you can use a kohl pencil before applying the eyeshadow

step3

Step 4:

Lastly,  line the inner rim of your eyes with black eyeliner, both top and bottom to enhance your smokey look.

*Tip – You can also apply black eyeshadow at the bottom lid.

step4

The finishing look!

*Tip – You can apply false eyelashes for the finishing look or simply apply a rich coat of mascara to open up those eyes!
